The wealth is very important form of social power.Others being, physical prowess, beauty, knowledge, priestly power, princely power, status in the govt., caste and class status etc.The social dynamics takes place  with the  exercise of these powers individually and collectively.The history is created by the interplay of thse social powers.

The wealth, being  power capsule, is such a form that is most convenient to store, exchange and transact with other forms of powers.The wealth, here, means cash , bank deposits, goods, real estate etc  that can be  easily sold and bought or can facilitate the process of selling and buying of goods and services.In Hindu belief system, it is calles LAKSHAMI, the consort of Lord Vishnu.

The wealth, when honestly earned, represents the reward of the services rendered for others.Normally, human beings are able to earn 'more, than what is 'needed' by them.This is due to civilisational ahievements of mankind whereby it can store, use tools, knowledge accumulated through the ages and by taking strategic advantages.The 'surplus power'  is the phenomenon associated with, perhaps, man alone and not found in any other species to any significant measure.The mankind has , therefore, the capacity to take care of its sick, handicapped, aged, infirm and such other needy  persons in the society.No  other species has such powers to significant degree.

The wealth accumulated through honest  and legal means, therefore, is not bad.The 'surplus' could be deployed to the service of mankind as  one wishes to.The collected money goes back to society the way you want to.Your judgements and wisdom prevail here.You  are 'powerful'.That gives you immense sense of satisfaction.You are better placed in the struggle foe existence.The satisfaction and happiness will  depend upon how and where  the money is spent.Your utmost wisdom is called  for.The chances of misuse may bring you disappointment.

The dishonest and illegal accumulation of wealth may not give you the same satisfaction.The money is equally powerful but it tends to be spent unwisely.Most evils in the society are associated with this type of money.Such money enslaves not only others but to such wealthy also.

The legally earned money for the  services rendered to the society may be treated as trust money and you being its trustee only.Your empowerment in monetary terms should help the needy.Our civilisation oves back the share of it.Because, many diseases, infirmities and handicaps are the outcome of our civilisational activities and failures only.Think of war disabled, chemical pollution affected people, accident  victims, forced unemployed persons , socially maltreated sections of people etc.Added to this are  people suffering  from natural disasters.Our progress due to civilisational needs has resulted in an army of needy people.They deserve the surplus  personal and public funds.It's immoral on the part of society to ignore them.In fact the quality of civilisation shall be judged by the degree of care that it is able to take of such needy people.Otherwise, man cannot claim to really civilised and diffrent from 'uncivilised' bretheren, the animals.

Thus judicious earning may be encouraged by the society and  concerned wealthy must chalk out  plans for judicious spending.Act like trustee and no harm in amassing the wealth.The LAKSHMI  should be honourably welcommed and treated with utmost respect..The purity  and chastity of this'goddess' is in our hands.Be wise.Be brave.Be Happy.
